I know several people who prescribed to the “He can’t possibly win in November, so who cares if Rick Santorum wins the Republican nomination?” school of thought. I was not one of those people — I mean, I live in a country where we reelected George W. Bush, so…. It’s one thing to joke about moving to Canada if the election doesn’t go how you want, but it’s quite another thing to be in a position to actually have to do it.
But, yay, he’s going to slither back in to his hole at least for now. I’m sure he’ll be doing all he can to bring about a theocracy behind the scenes, but, at least I won’t have to look at him in the news every day, saying things like:
I don’t want to make black people’s lives better by giving them somebody else’s money…
President Obama wants everybody in America to go to college. What a snob.
One of the things I will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is I think the dangers of contraception in this country…. Many of the Christian faith have said, well, that’s okay, contraception is okay. It’s not okay.
If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual [gay] sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you my former representative in the Senate. Sigh. May the door smack some sense in to him on the way out, but, I will not hold my breath. Lonely Island, please play us out…
